JOIN GIMLE BEHIND THE BAR AT THIS YEAR’S ROSKILDE FESTIVAL. THE BARS ARE LOCATED IN CENTRAL WEST, AND ARE OPEN THROUGHOUT BOTH FIRST DAYS AND FINAL DAYS.

What’s the job?

• You will be part of a large team, working as a bartender aside old and new friends. The bars are situated in a central location at the festival, with a direct view to the Eos and Gaia stage.
• It doesn’t take extraordinary bartending skills like shuffling shakers or pouring drinks from exact distances to join our team
• As a volunteer at Roskilde Festival and working for Gimle, you are required to work for a total of 32 hours during the festival. You will work 4 shifts of 8 hours duration distributed over the entire week (Saturday 29th of June – Saturday 6st of July)
• It is a requirement that you are available the entire festival, but if there’s a day or two you are unavailable, let us know, and we will try to accommodate it when planning shifts

Need to know

• You need to be at least 18 years of age
• Bar-experience is not required – don’t worry, you’ll learn all you need to know
• No later than the end of May, we will publish shift packages, each of which needs 17-20 people, in a total of 7 teams. We expect to be able to fit you and the people you sign up with, on the same team
• The shift packages will be made so, that every team has an opening, afternoon, evening and night shift, distributed across the entire week (Saturday 29th of June – Saturday 6st of July)
• You will receive your final shift plan via e-mail, no later than 2 weeks before the festival

What is Gimle?

Gimle is the regional music venue and youth culture house in Roskilde, offering cultural events with quality, content, and diversity. We are a user-driven house that is operated on a daily basis by a group of around a hundred volunteers, with the help of a group of permanent employees.
Gimle’s profits are used to arrange concerts and other cultural events. This means that your work at the Roskilde Festival contributes to Gimle’s ability to arrange even more concerts and cool events in the future.

Gimle has extensive experience participating in the Roskilde Festival, and we have a close collaboration with the festival all year round.
