JOIN GIMLE BEHIND THE BAR AT THIS YEAR’S ROSKILDE FESTIVAL. THE BAR IS LOCATED IN CENTRAL WEST, AND IS OPEN THROUGHOUT BOTH WARM-UP AND MUSIC DAYS.
What’s the job?
You will be part of a large team, working as a bartender aside old and new friends in one of the brand-new areas at Roskilde Festival. The bar is situated in a central location at the festival, with a direct view to one of the new stages
It doesn’t take extraordinary bartending skills like shuffling shakers or pouring drinks from exact distances to join our team
As a volunteer at Roskilde Festival and working for Gimle, you are required to work for a total of 32 hours during the festival. You will work 4 shifts of 8 hours duration distributed over the entire week (Saturday 6th of June – Saturday 1st of July)
It is a requirement that you are available the entire festival, but if there’s a day or two you are unavailable, let us know, and we will try to accommodate it when planning shifts
You can look forward to
One Full Festival Ticket for Roskilde Festival 2023
A large and strong community with wonderful people from all over Europe
A meal, fruit, tea/coffee and water at each shift.
Opportunity to book a spot at the quieter Volunteer Camping, which also has free hot showers
Access to Volunteers’ Village with free tea, coffee, lemonade/juice etc. along with cozy lounge areas and many other activities, events and offers
Resumé-applicable event- and bar-experience
Joining and becoming a part of the Gimle-family whilst having a blast with everyone at Roskilde Festival
Need to know
You need to be at least 18 years of age
Bar-experience is not required – don’t worry, you’ll learn all you need to know
No later than the end of May, we will publish shift packages, each of which needs 17-20 people, in a total of 7 teams. We expect to be able to fit you and the people you sign up with, on the same team
The shift packages will be made so, that every team has an opening, afternoon, evening and night shift, distributed across the entire week (Saturday 6th of June – Saturday 1st of July)
You will receive your final shift plan via e-mail, no later than 2 weeks before the festival
If you wish to join Gimle at Roskilde Festival, send an e-mail to email@example.com, where you write a few lines about yourself, and why you want to volunteer for Gimle at the festival.
We look forward to hearing from you!
The best of Gimle-greetings
Kirsten, Jannik, Claes & Maria
What is Gimle?
Gimle is the regional music venue and youth culture house in Roskilde, offering cultural events with quality, content, and diversity. We are a user-driven house that is operated on a daily basis by a group of around a hundred volunteers, with the help of a group of permanent employees. Gimle’s profits are used to arrange concerts and other cultural events. This means that your work at the Roskilde Festival contributes to Gimle’s ability to arrange even more concerts and cool events in the future.
Gimle has extensive experience participating in the Roskilde Festival, and we have a close collaboration with the festival all year round.
