Simon Ask is best known as the producer and guitarist in Katinka Band, but has now embarked on his solo journey with his debut full-length album Flying. With his background as both an experimental guitarist and boundary-pushing producer, he seamlessly blends the organic sounds of the guitar with modern production, allowing the listener to dive into a world of dreamy yet deeply personal compositions. Drawing inspiration from classical-, punk-, and electronic music, he creates atmospheric soundscapes that offer a unique and alternative listening experience.
Simon Ask has received several awards, including Steppeulv Award, Danish Arts Foundation Prize for Album of the Year, and Carl Prize for Pop Composer of the Year in 2018.
