The European Voluntary Service is part of an EU-financed program (Erasmus plus) which gives young people between 18 and 30 the opportunity to spend time abroad, do voluntary work and thereby learn about the culture of other Europen countries.
Gimle hosts 5 volunteers at one time for a 12 month period starting from August/September or January.
The volunteers' task is to run Gimle's café day by day, help in the kitchen and assist with Gimle's other events. During their stay they are working on personal projects that can be for example repainting the café or organizing an event. Additionally they also participate at Roskilde Festival as volunteers. The EVS's all live together in a large house down by the Roskidle Festival area.
If you’re interested in becoming an EVS at Gimle or if you have questions about the program please contact EVS-coordinator Line Holm Christensen.
The current EVS volunteers are: Regina (19) from Germany, Olena (21) from Ukraine, Rachid (29) from The Netherlands, Garbiñe (25) from The Basque Country and Nico (23) from Austria.
